Stair LiftsIn today’s society, most buildings such as hotels and office blocks have passenger lifts installed to allow users to access different floors with the utmost ease. There are however many situations which couldn’t justify a passenger lift for a number of reasons. Or perhaps a stair lift would be required in the event of lift failure. Stair lifts are ideal in buildings with a smaller number of floors, and in the homes of people with disabilities. Imagine an elderly wheelchair-bound woman being restricted in her own home due to being unable to move to a higher level. Someone such as this shouldn’t be forced to live in a bungalow when stair lifts are readily available, and can be installed in a relatively short period of time with as little convenience as possible to their user. A stair lift must be constructed to ideally fit its environment. Aspects such as height and shape of the staircase are taken into account, as are optional features such as dual remote controls and back-up battery packs in the event of power failure. A stair lift can be fully customised to suit its location, and can be seamlessly integrated with as little hassle as possible. |
